Manayunk's Spook-tacular New Attraction!
The Former Mad River Brewery in Manayunk Has Been Resurrected Into Lincoln Mill Haunted House.
Manayunk—Like the creatures currently contained within its walls, Lincoln Mill Haunted House is rising from the former foundations of its past to become new again.
Located in the former home of Mad River off of Manayunk Avenue, the property has been transformed from the devastation that Hurricane Ida wreaked and resurrected into Lincoln Mill Haunted House.
And for anyone wondering how this was accomplished, the building’s owner Brian Corcodilos joined forces with a local artist and designer in order to renovate it and reclaim the building’s story. The new and improved Lincoln Mill Haunted House made its debut in Manayunk on Friday October 7th at 4100 Main Street. With the restoration back to life, the newly branded Lincoln Mill Haunted House brought in over 40 live scare-actors, production quality sets, props, animatronics, and special effects such as fog, strobes, and flashing lights.
So as you wander the darkened halls upon entering, you’re faced with the formidable scary props and actors that await you around every corner. And be aware, there are areas where strobe lights flash and a section where you’re completely immersed into a clock of darkness—so anyone with sensory issues may wish to stay behind.
For those that need to stay behind, or are not into scary attractions, there will be a more family-oriented event every Saturday from 12-4pm (with no scare actors). During this time there will be a scavenger hunt where you need to find all of your accomplices of Viktor Kane.
And for everyone who makes it out without becoming a ghoul themselves, there are vendors waiting to provide comfort foods and beverages for all who survive the ghostly building. Those vendors have familiar names, some of whom are Manayunk staples; Winnie’s, Deke’s, New Ridge Brewing Co., and Fat Lady Brewing will all be onsite with pay-as-you-go menu options.
As for the cost to be scared: tickets are officially on sale now and one dollar from each ticket will be donated to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The main haunted house event will run at night Thursday, Friday, and Saturday starting October 6th through November 5th, with tickets being sold in hour time slots starting from 6:45pm to 11:45pm. Any children under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the media experience. Saturday daytime tickets are $24 each from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, and general admission for other times is $29. VIP tickets start at $55 each and up.
